Government-level heritage fairs will be organised in Punjab for the enrichment of state’s rich heritage and culture: Anmol Gagan Maan

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Maan, the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs is making continuous efforts in promoting Punjab as 'Rangla Punjab' by enriching Punjab's rich heritage and culture to enhance the significance of local importance and heritage for everyone in the state.

In order to increase awareness, cultural and heritage, several fairs will be organised with great enthusiasm in the districts of the state.This revelation was made by Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Investment Promotion, Labor, and Hospitality, Anmol Gagan Maan, during her participation in the Teej fair organised in Kharar Sunday. 

Speaking about the festival, she said that the Teej festival is a symbol of daughters' dreams and aspirations, through which every daughter shares her happiness with her friends these days and said that there are some festivals that are inherited from mothers to daughters.

She further said that Teej is a symbolic festival for people of all ages and especially the women of all ages who actively participated in the festival. She continued saying that next year, her department will celebrate the Teej festival on a large scale and consider organising an event in each district in this regard. 

She said that the Punjab Tourism Summit will be organised in Mohali, Punjab, next month to make the world aware of Punjab's rich heritage and culture, boost the tourism sector in the state, and attract tourists to Punjab.She said that such a conference will be held in Punjab for the first time, which will also promote investment in the tourism sector. 

On this occasion, the Chairperson of the District Planning Board Mohali, Prabhjot Kaur, Surinder Kaur Dhillon, Patron of Sandali Paidan Club Kharar, MC Neelam Sharma, Seema Sharma, Mandeep Kaur Chauhan, Mandeep Tiwana, Bhupinder Kaur, Surinder Kaur Cheema, Meena Kumari, Amanpreet Kaur, Harpreet Kaur and Satnam Kaur were also present along with a large number of girls and women.
