Kasauli AC to have Jal Shakti Division to be functional from Jan 2024 : Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu

A Jal Shakti Vibhag Mandal (division) will be made functional in Kasauli assembly segment at Dharampur from 1st January, 2024, thus fulfilling the long awaited demand of the people of the constituency, stated Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu while addressing a massive public gathering at Parwanoo late last evening. 

He also dedicated the up-gradation of the link road and parking of Terminal Mandi at Parwanoo completed with an outlay of Rs. 18.50 crore.Kasauli assembly constituency is an important tourist destination of the state besides it is a gateway to Himachal Pradesh. 

Planned development of the constituency is the priority of the state government and no paucity of funds will be there for its development, he said."My government has not come to enjoy the power but to serve the people and to percolate the benefits of development to the last man in the row", said the Chief Minister, adding that we have come for 'Vyavstha Parivartan' and believe in eliminating the difference between the poor and the rich.

Considering the roads as the life line of development, the focus of the Government was  to provide better road connectivity, quality education and proper health facilities to the citizens of the State, he said, adding that within next four years, Himachal would emerge as one of the pioneer State, providing quality basic infrastructural facilities to its people.

He said that the state government was determined to bring the economy of the state back on track. The state has suffered a lot due to the present natural calamity. The State Government has urged the Central Government to provide generous financial assistance in view of the extensive damage caused in the state and we need a planned roadmap, with expert engineering inputs for construction of road and tunnels keeping in view the topography of the younger Himalayan regions to avoid such disasters in future.  

The Chief Minister said the state government left no stone unturned to provide immediate relief to the affected due to the disaster of the decade that hit upon the state causing immense damage to both the public and private property. 

Rescue operations were conducted on war footing to evacuate the tourists stranded at different places, while opposition was merely doing politics at a time when everybody needs to stand united to uplift the State. He said that every question of the opposition will be addressed during the assembly session in an effective manner.

Numerous schools were opened by the previous government by not sticking to the norms which lowered the standard of education. The state government will open one Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding School in each assembly constituency, which will become centers of holistic education, said the Chief Minister.  

Speaking on the disbanded Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Selection Board, Hamirpur, The Chief Minister said that it had become the hub of corruption  and soon a separate  institute for employment will be established, which despite ensuring transparency will make certain that the youth were selected on the basis of merit only. 

"I assure the youth that the state government would provide employment to the right candidates on merit" said he.On the occasion, a draft of Rs. 11 lakh was presented towards the Chief Minister's Relief Fund by Arhtiya Association Parwanoo, Rs. 1,51,000 by Gurdwara Sahib Shree Singh Sabha Parwanoo and Rs. 50,000 by Parwanoo Vikas Manch.

Earlier, Health and Family Welfare Minister, Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil while addressing on the occasion said that the expansion of terminal market in Parwanoo would immensely benefit the horticulturalists of the state besides others.

Agriculture Minister, Chander Kumar said that the state government was upgrading facilities in fruit and vegetable mandis for the convenience of the farmers and horticulturists in the state. He congratulated the people of the region for the grand terminal market in Parwanoo.

Local MLA Vinod Sultanpuri welcomed the Chief Minister and presented various demands of the area.Chief Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Doon, Ram Kumar Chaudhary, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Sanjay Awasthi, MLA Nalagarh, K.L. Thakur, MLA Chintpurni, Sudarshan Bablu, were also present on the occasion amongst other dignitaries.
