Akshay Kumar's OMG 2 Gets ‘A’ Certification, Gets clearance From Censor Board With "No Cuts, Only Modifications”

The film OMG 2 has been making headlines since its release was put on hold to re-examine it by the RC to avoid similar backlash and controversies created at the time of Adipurush release. The makers of OMG 2 were really tense and unsatisfied due to the issues and delays that the film was facing due to certification and cuts as suggested by the Censor Board. Now, all the worries seem to be over as the film has finally got clearance but with some modifications.

Yes, you heard that right, the Censor Board has approved the film without any cuts but has suggested some modifications to be made. Also the film has still been granted ‘A’ (Adult Only) Certification. As per the reports, the Committee was demanding a lot of cuts for the film, so as to be provided with U/A Certification but the makers did not want to compromise on the sanctity of the film, so they agreed on the A Certification.

Speaking about the major modification, it has been reported that Akshay Kumar will be seen as the messenger of Lord Shiva not the God himself. Talking about the trailer of the film OMG 2, it has been provided with U/A Certification but is yet to be released. And as the film’s release shift was in the headlines due to the above issues, it has been cleared that OMG 2 is all set to hit the silver screens on 11 August 2023 without any delays. 

The sequel to the super hit comedy satirical film, OMG 2 stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in lead roles. The film is slated to see daylight on 11 August 2023 with a massive box office clash with another superhit sequel Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma.
