As the release date of OMG 2 is reaching nearer, the stress of makers is levelling up due to issues the film has been landing itself into. Due to the hold and the decisions from the Censor Board, the makers are hustling due to the short period of time left for the release and they are left with all the promotional work as well as trailer release. Now, a new update has come related to the film’s certification and cuts.

As OMG 2 release was put on hold to avoid future controversies and was under the Revising Committee to revise the film due to its content based on mythological and spiritual matters, the board has finally come up with decision and s per the reports, Revision Committee has suggested 20 cuts to the film while giving ‘A’ (Adults Only) Certification to it.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “In all, the RC has asked for 20 cuts. These include both visual and audio deletions. On top of it, they have also suggested the makers opt for an adults-only certification.” Continuing further, the source told, “However, the makers are not comfortable with these cuts as they believe that it’ll affect the essence of the film. They are also not okay with an ‘A’ certificate. After all, they feel that the topic of sex education should be seen by people of all ages. Also, the first part, OMG Oh My God (2012), is very popular with kids. To have an adult certificate for a film in a kid-friendly franchise just doesn’t feel right, in their opinion.”

“There’s a deadlock between the two parties as of now. It remains to be seen if they are able to reach a consensus and whether that happens sooner so that OMG Oh My God 2 can release comfortably on August 11, as scheduled,” the source concluded.

Now, what happens next can only be known with further revelations and our all eyes are on the future updates related to the film.
