Repairing work of the breeched embankment near Chandpura is going in full swing, people will get relief soon - Budh Ram

MLA Budhlada Principal Mr. Budh Ram, Divisional Commissioner Faridkot Range Mr. Chander Gaind and Deputy Commissioner Mr. Rishipal Singh reviewed the ongoing work of repairing embankment at village Sidhani within the limits of Chandpura embankment Haryana and issued orders to the army personnel including the drainage department to carry out the entire work as soon as possible.

On this occasion, MLA Principal Budh Ram said that teams have been formed for relief work in the villages, which he himself is supervising. Wherever ration, water, green fodder, medical assistance is needed, it is providing by the government and also appealed to NGO for the same. 

He also thanked all NGO’s, clubs and other donors for their support in this natural calamity. On this occasion, after getting information about the situation from the officials of the Drainage Department, the Divisional Commissioner Mr. Chander Gaind said that the nearby villages have been affected by water due to the breach of about 180 feet. 

The work of pluging the breech is going on in full swing by the drainage Department and Indian Army teams. The administration is already providing necessary machinery, soil, cardboard and other necessary equipment.

Mr. Chander Gaind applauded the work being carried under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Mr. Rishipal Singh, the entire administrative staff, NDRF and military personnel are continuously engaged in rescue operations, due to which about 70 feet of the 180 feet gap near Chandpura has been filled and it will be completed soon.

Deputy Commissioner Mr. Rishipal Singh said that the district administration is providing all necessary assistance for the work of fulling the embankment.He said that all the teams are working diligently to keep the situation improved. 

Every facility is being provided by government and continuously taking information from the people of the nearby affected villages about their needs and difficulties.

On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Bathinda Mr. Showkat Ahmad Parray, SDM Budhlada Mr. Pramod Singla, Assistant Commissioner (G) Mr. Harjinder Singh Jassal, Chairman District Planning Board Mr. Charanjit Singh Akkanwali, XEN drainage Saroop Singh, BDPO Sukhwinder Singh, army and civil administration officials were present.
