OMG 2 is the sequel to comedy satirical film OMG which came into theatres giving rise to a lot of controversies due its spiritual and mythological based plot. Now OMG is soon going to release in theatres on 11 August 2023 but according to recent reports, its release has been put on hold by the Central Board due to following reasons.

The Central Board has held off Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 release to avoid the similar backlashes that were faced with the release of Adipurush due to its unethical presentation of the characters and especially the dialogues which hurt the religious sentiments of the public. Now so as to avoid all these before handed, the Central Board has taken the decision of revising the film.

The film OMG 2 has been put before the revising committee to recheck the scenes and dialogues so as to ensure that the film does not contain anything that may create the similar issues in future while hurting and disrespecting their sentiments. Now all the decisions are in the hands of the revision panel and the censor board who will lift the hold with or without the changes.

Amit Rai directorial OMG 2 is the sequel to 2012 hit film OMG. It stars Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva , Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in lead roles.
