NC responsible of ruining careers of Kashmiri youth: PDP

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) District Organising Secretary, Srinagar, Mudasir Khan, has accused the National Conference leadership of humiliating and ruining the careers of thousands of Kashmiri youth by implicating them in false cases over the last more than five and half years.In a statement Khan said had the ruling National Conference-led government acted responsibly and made serious efforts for the welfare of the youth then there was no need of seeking any ‘amnesty’ for them. But, he said it is the Omar Abdullah’s government which left no stone unturned in harming the interest of young population of Kashmir particularly of Srinagar through various oppressive methods during its tenure. 

Khan said by seeking ‘amnesty’ and ‘rehabilitation’ of the youth whom the ruling government has brazenly demonised as drug addicts, stone-pelters, paid agents and anti-nationals, some National Conference leaders are just adding insult to the injury.Blaming the National Conference of turning the youth to stone-pelting and other forms of violence Khan said it is only because of the bad policies of the Omar Abdullah’s government the youth have to resort to extreme steps to make their voices heard. “These leaders shamelessly kept mum when injustice was done with the youth by the ruling government now when the assembly elections are round the corner they (NC leaders) have started shedding proverbial crocodile tears- trying to become saviours of our youth,” Khan said adding everybody is well aware about the anti-youth policies of the National Conference-led government and its leaders can’t make the people fools anymore.
