Three out of 15 proclaimed offenders in Common Entrance Test (CET)—2012 paper leak scam on Friday surrendered before the crime branch and the anti corruption court.Sources identified these three accused to KNS as Hilal Ahmad Shokli, Master Mohammad Amin Ganaie and Afroza Akhter all three residents of Anantnag district. While Hilal surrendered before the anti corruption court, Ganaie and Akhter appeared before the crime branch. All the three have been sent to central jail Srinagar.

Sources said that Hilal and Akhter are parents of two beneficiaries of paper leak scam and Ganaie was one of the brokers who sold the papers. Parents of the candidates who dropped in CET-2012 have hailed the Crime Branch for its investigations and have appreciated the whole team upto the level of IGP Crime. However, these parents have demanded that the crime branch should dig deep in CET-2010 wherein sources said that evidences have been collected by the crime branch pointing to a scam. (KNS)
