World Blood Donor Day observed at ANMT School Doda

World Blood Donors Day 2023 was observed by the District Health Society by organizing an awareness programme at ANMT School Doda.The programme was held under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer  and under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The programme was attended by Dr N D Dar, Dr Javed Ahmed Parray, Mohammad Shafi Attu, Mohammad Faheem Butt, Zaheer Gattu, Mohd Umar Mughal, Altaf Hussain, besides staff of ANMT School    Naveeda Anjum &   Rubina Ishtiaq and students.

The aim of the event was to highlight the importance of voluntary blood donations in saving lives and enhancing solidarity within communities.On this occasion, Dr Javed Ahmed Parray delivered a motivational lecture on the importance of the day.

Dr Parray said blood donation is a virtuous act and if one donates blood, he/she helps save the life of someone and becomes a true saviour of humanity.

Further, he also urged all eligible adults, particularly youth, to come forward and donate blood regularly to give the priceless gift of life to someone.Later, a pledge was taken by the students and staff members to participate in the noble cause of blood donation.
