Atal tinkering lab inaugurated at Shemrock School Sector 69  by Aashika Jain DC Mohali to engage and inspire students with science, engineering and technology. Labs have been established at school under the Atal Innovation Mission of the Niti Aayog with the vision to cultivate one million children as innovators and every child could experience the skills and techniques intrinsic to innovation.  

DC Mohali Aashika Jain visited the lab and had a glimpse of the models prepared by the students. She said at moment that this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity, and imagination in students and inculcate skills like design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc.

Chairman Shemrock and Oakfield group of schools, Amarjit Singh Bajwa, presented a memento of gratitude to  DC Mohali Aashika Jain  and encouraged  students to tinker and learn new things. School Principal,  Prineet Sohal said at the moment that the students are given hands on experience in various fields with a special focus on three Dimensional (3D), printing, artificial intelligence, robotics and astrophysics, Mechanzo, small electronic circuits, soldering, tinker cad, software for designing, electrical tools, electronic equipments and drone etc. which will be helpful for them for their future.
