The Pollywood queen and sensation Sonam Bajwa who has left the audiences stunned with her incredible work in the Punjabi industry is becoming a household name nationwide. Her talent and her beauty has made her the nation’s crush. If you are a die heart fan of Sonam Bajwa then you should not miss this fact about Sonam’s name.

Recently Sonam Bajwa visited Mumbai to attend the HT India’s Most Stylish Awards 2023 where she appeared in a glorious look which made everyone fall in love with her. On her visit to Mumbai, she was interviewed by Siddhaarth Aalambayan, the host of The Bombay Journey in which Sonam revealed many things about her personal life and from which one was related to her name.

Talking about Sonam’s real name which was given to her by her parents in childhood was ‘Sanobar’ on which all her fellow mates used to make fun and call her ’Sarovar’. So, she complained to her parents and asked them to change her name when she was in class 1 and then her mom offered her two names ‘Sonal’ and ‘Sonam’ from which she chose Sonam. 

Not only this, when her parents applied for her passport, Sonam's mother compelled her to put Preet with her name rather than Bajwa so that she does not have to change her surname and it does not cause any problems after marriage. So, when Sonam grew up with the name Sonam Preet, everyone used to make fun of her that how Preet could be placed with Sonam so she finally changed her name to Sonam Bajwa. 

So this was the whole funny story behind the name of Sonam Bajwa. On the workfront, Sonam has two films in the pipeline. Her ‘Godday Godday Chaa’ is soon going to release in cinemas on 26 May 2023 which also stars Tania in lead role and talking about another, the third part of franchise Carry On Jatta with Gippy Grewal will be on the big screens on 29 June 2023.
