The Kerala Story Controversies Rising, Cash Prices Being Being Offered To Prove The Film Based On True Events

The highly anticipated and one of the most controversial upcoming films, The Kerala Story has been facing issues since the teaser release and now the trailer release of the film has raised many questions among certain groups of audiences and it has become a centre topic of discussion. The controversies are just rising and now even cash rewards are being  offered to prove the storyline of the film to be true. 

Yes, you heard that right, The Kerala Story is slated to release on 5 May 2023 and just a few days ahead of the release, many groups or communities of people are opposing the film and saying that there is no truth in the story and such things have never happened in Kerala and to oppose they have even announced cash rewards up to 1 crores for the ones who will prove the storyline of the film is based on true events by providing facts.

Speaking about P.K. Firoz, chief of the Muslim Youth League, the youth wing of IUML, the second-largest member of the Congress-led UDF, announced and offered that they would give Rs. 1 crore if the makers of The Kerala Story prove it to be true. After him, another announcement was made by  K. Nazeer Hussain, a blogger who offered 10 lakhs and said that he would, “give Rs 10 lakh to anyone who can produce evidence that women were converted and forced to join the Islamic State.” 

For the unversed, The Kerala Story is based on the true events of Kerala which claims that around 32000 womens from Kerala have been missing, brainwashed and they have been converted to Islam and forced to join terror organisations. 

The film is directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Shah under A Vipul Amrutlal Shah Production. It stars  Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, Siddhi Idnani, Vijay Krishna, Pranay Pachauri, Pranav Mishra portraying the lead roles. The film will be released in theatres on 5 May 2023.
