DC Rajouri flaggs off awareness van to promote healthy, drug-free lifestyle

In continuation to a series of activities being organised in the district under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today flagged off an awareness van here from DC office to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug addiction and promote a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.

The event was organized by the Social Welfare Department in collaboration with the Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Aashram Rajouri. The awareness van will travel to all subdivisions, tehsils, blocks and panchayats in Rajouri to educate people about the harmful effects of drug addiction and the importance of leading a drug-free life.

While talking to media persons during the event, the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal emphasized the importance of creating a drug-free society. He praised the Social Welfare Department and the Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Ashram  for launching the awareness van and spreading awareness about the dangers of drug addiction.

The DC also highlighted the adverse effects of drug addiction on individuals, families, and society as a whole. He urged everyone to support the Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign and work together to eradicate drug abuse from the community.

The Deputy Commissioner also mentioned that the District Administration is making dedicated efforts to eliminate the menace of drug abuse from society and a number of measures are being taken in this regard.

The organisation of this awareness van is one more step in this direction and such events will continue in near future. In addition to this, the District Administration is also planning to organize many more programs such as conferences, tabletalks, and other events to educate the masses about the dangers of drug abuse.
