Rajouri Admin revives old, defunct hatchery and liquid Nitrogen plant of Animal Husbandry Department

The District Administration Rajouri has taken a significant step towards boosting the poultry industry by reviving the hatchery of the Animal Husbandry Department and the Liquid Nitrogen plant in the district.

These facilities were non-operational for a long time, but the District Administration, in collaboration with the Department of Animal Husbandry, has successfully revived them.  District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, inaugurated the revived hatchery and liquid nitrogen plant.

The DDC stated that the revival of the hatchery and liquid nitrogen plant would provide a much-needed boost to the poultry industry and animal husbandry sector in the district, generating employment opportunities for the local people.

The hatchery will provide high-quality chicks to farmers at affordable rates, maintaining the genetic purity of the poultry stock in the district. The total capacity of the hatchery is 27,000 eggs. The revival of the hatchery and liquid nitrogen plant is in line with the government's vision of promoting entrepreneurship and self-employment among the youth.

The District Administration has taken steps to ensure that the revived hatchery and liquid nitrogen plant operate in compliance with all necessary health and safety regulations. The DDC expressed his gratitude to the Department of Animal Husbandry for their support in reviving the hatchery and liquid nitrogen plant, urging local farmers to make the most of this opportunity to boost their poultry farming activities.

While speaking about liquid Nitrogen, the DDC said that its  utilization has a profound impact on the animal husbandry sector. It has revolutionized the breeding process, boosted productivity, and stimulated the growth and development of the livestock industry. 

By establishing liquid nitrogen plants in rural areas, farmers can access the necessary resources to enhance their livestock and augment their income.Liquid nitrogen has proven to be a game-changer in animal husbandry.
