Becoming parents is the most beautiful thing that a person can ever feel. That happiness, that feeling just makes the person feel out of the world. But enjoying this feeling does not require you to be married as proved by Indian Celebs by going against societal norms. Here we have a list of celebs who brought a revolution to parenthood by proving that marriage is not at all necessary to be a parent.

I think Sushmita Sen is the first name that comes to our mind if we think of someone for setting an example by bringing a revolution to parenthood. Sushmita adopted two girls Renee and Alisah and has raised her daughters very well being a single mother ever since. As per the law if a person adopts one girl child then they cannot adopt another but Sushmita fought with the law to adopt Alisah to accompany Ranee and said, “I wanted to be a mother all over again. The earlier law was that if you have adopted a girl as your first baby, you can't adopt another girl child. And I wanted a girl. Thankfully, the High Court changed the ruling. You can't imagine how happy I was after hearing that."

Tusshar Kapoor dropped the idea of marriage over having his own child. He always wanted his own kid for which he could not wait as he had no plans for marriage at that time, he revealed in an interview. He chose IVF and surrogacy to welcome his kid into this world in 2016 and named his son Laksshya. He is still raising him as a single parent.

Sakshi Tanwar another lady who believed that enjoying parenthood does not require marriage and she adopted a 9 months old baby girl in 2018 whom she named as Dityaa Tanwar. She is still a single parent and embracing her parenthood being unmarried.

Karan Johar, one of the biggest filmmakers of India and there is no wrong if we call him matchmaker of Bollywood industry, himself chose to stay single and become a single parent. Karan welcomed his baby twins in 2017 through surrogacy whom he named Yash and Roohi.

Just like her brother Tusshar Kapoor, the popular TV producer Ekta Kapoor also decided to celebrate parenthood by not marrying and staying as a single parent. She welcomed her son in 2019 through surrogacy and named him Ravie. They both share a very good bond and can be seen enjoying and playing together with Tusshar’s son as they usually share pictures on social media.

Ileana D’Cruz has recently shared the good news by announcing her parenthood on Instagram. She shared a picture of a baby romper and a ‘mama’ pendant and showed her excitement to welcome the little one. She is not married yet. She has also not revealed any more information about her pregnancy.

Kalki Koechlin after moving on from her first marriage with Anurag Kashyap in 2015 started dating Guy Hershberg, Israeli classical musician with whom she announced her pregnancy. She welcomed her first child with her boyfriend Guy Hershberg. They named their daughter Sappho. She is not married yet and she also faced criticism while she was pregnant just because of being pregnant before marriage but she ignored every negativity and is now happily raising her daughter.
