Senior Punjab Congress leadership including PCC President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring held a press conference in Chandigarh at the Punjab Congress Bhawan to expose the false propaganda, malicious practices and vicious policies of the Aam Aadmi Party.

Strongly condemning the Vigilance action and leveraging government machinery to incriminate former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Friday said the Aam Aadmi Party was deliberately harassing the Dalit leaders to satisfy their egos.

Addressing a press conference at Punjab Congress Bhawan, the former CM said that the AAM Aadmi Party has drastically failed on all fronts. Terrified by opposition’s strength and unity, the AAP govt is adapting the divide and rule policy to hide its incompetence and failure.

I have an abiding faith in the Indian judicial system and assure them complete assistance in the legal proceedings. Also, I dare the state govt to prove any of the charges framed against me.”

“The inexperienced government miserably failed to curb the drug menace, eliminate the gangster culture, address public grievances and deliver justice in the sacrilege case as promised.Instead of fulfilling its promises, the government is hell bent on registering false cases against those who raise their voice against its atrocities being perpetrated on opponents.

All I know is that Bhagwant Mann is trying to authenticate its false propaganda by wasting public money on false advertisements and putting the lives of those at risk who speak with courage against the ruling government. Sidhu Moose Wala was assassinated after the govt withdrew his security cover and I think they will get me killed too for I won’t stop speaking against them,” said the teary-eyed former CM.

Lashing out at the Aam Aadmi Party, the Punjab Congress President said the AAP Punjab is stooping to new low in politics. The deceitful and nefarious propaganda of the AAP leadership stands exposed and terrified by its loss in the Sangrur bypoll, Bhagwant Mann’s home turf, the party is resorting to defame and harass opposition leaders ahead of the Jalandhar LS bypoll to divert everyone’s attention from its Himalayan failures.

Expressing solidarity with the former CM, Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa said, the party leadership stands with Channi in these testing times. We all are a part of the extended Congress family and we all are with him.

All the charges against Channi are false & frivolous. This is mere a tactic to distract focus from the major issues & harass the senior leadership. Bhagwant Mann’s anti-people face stands exposed and he must prepare himself to taste the imminent defeat.

Expressing support in favour of the former CM, Smt. Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary, party candidate for Jalandhar LS bypoll, stated, Congress is all set to win the Jalandhar bypoll and AAP has already accepted its defeat. Afraid of losing another bypoll, after forming the govt, the leadership is trying malevolent tactics to disrupt the voters and harass the opposition leadership.

Echoing the same sentiments, State Incharge Harish Chaudhary said the leadership has complete faith in former CM’s honesty and dedication, and stands by him. Disillusioned by AAP’s visible misgovernance, the people will teach them a lesson in the upcoming LS bypoll.

Those who were present during the conference included State Incharge Harish Chaudhary, LoP Partap Singh Bajwa, former CM Charanjit Singh Channi, deputy CLP Raj Kumar Chabbewal, former minister Bramh Mohindra, Former minister Rana Gurjeet Singh, former minister Aruna Chaudhary, former cabinet minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Party candidate for Jalandhar LS bypoll Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary, MLA Jalandhar (Cantt) Pragat Singh, MLA Hardev Singh Ladi, MLA Avtar singh junior amongst others.
