District Election Officer chairs virtual meeting to encourage voter participation

In a bid to encourage voter participation and enhance Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Program (SVEEP), District Election Officer, Vishesh Mahajan, chaired a virtual meeting with more than 450 EROs (Electoral Registration Officers), AEROs (Assistant Electoral Registration Officers), BLOs (Booth Level Officers), from different locations. 

The online interaction was aimed at assessing the progress of new voter enrollment in the current year.During the meeting, the DEO urged all BLOs to ensure that no eligible new voter is left out in their area who has reached the age of 18 years.

Furthermore, the DEO announced special days for the SVEEP program, which aims to motivate new voters to enrol themselves in the voters' list. He suggested using schools, colleges, universities, and hospitals for advertising to encourage new voters to participate actively.

The online meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Doda, Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Doda, Deputy District Election Officer, besides tehsildars and others.
