Govt. will resolve Nautor Land issue in Kinnaur amicably: Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has said that the State Government will find an amicable solution of Nautor land issue in Kinnaur district after examining all aspects. Speaking on the occasion of Kinnaur Welfare Society's Program ‘Toshim-2023’ here last evening the Chief Minister said that Kinnaur district has a rich culture and the present State Government would come up with innovative ideas to promote the rich cultural heritage of this tribal district.

The Chief Minister said that in order to provide maximum benefit to the apple growers, the State Government is setting up 10 Controlled Atmosphere (CA) stores in the State. It will not only protect the Apple growers from any exploitation of middlemen but will also ensure remunerative prices to the growers. 

The department has already floated tenders for setting up these CA stores.The Chief Minister said that 40 bighas of land has been identified in Kinnaur district for establishing Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School and the construction work will be started this year itself. These schools would be opened in each assembly segment of the State to ensure quality education to the students nearer to their homes.

Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the present government has presented a green budget with measures aimed at preserving the environment of the State besides making efforts towards producing green energy and green ammonia to promote a sustainable future.The Chief Minister said that the state's economy heavily relies on tourism and the government was committed to strengthening the infrastructure to support this industry. 

He said that heliports would be developed at all district headquarters of the State to improve connectivity and accessibility for tourists which will go a long way in creating the employment and self employment ventures to the youth of the State. He said that the welfare of every section of the society was being ensured by the present State government. 

He said that Himachal Pradesh Sukh-Ashraya Bill, 2023 has been introduced in the current Vidhan Sabha session of H.P. Vidhan Sabha which will ensure that about 6000 orphans in the State live their life with full honour and dignity.  He said that these children would be adopted as ‘Children of the State’. 

The Law provides for their higher education, pocket money and assistance to make them self-reliant until the age of 27 years. Chief Minister also honoured notable individuals from various fields, including boxer Meenakshi Negi and Principal Commissioner (GST) Jammu and Kashmir Hir Bhagat Negi, for their distinguished contributions to the society.

The Chief Minister announced rupees one lakh award for Meenakshi Negi for her excellent achievement in boxing.  He also released a souvenir on the occasion.During the event, the Kinnaur Welfare Society donated Rs. 1.11 lakh towards Mukhya Mantri Sukh-Aashraya Sahayata Kosh and presented a cheque of this amount to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on the occasion.

A colourful cultural program was also presented during the event, for which Chief Minister announced rupees one lakh.Earlier, Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi welcomed the Chief Minister and appreciated his efforts to revamp the system in the State after assuming office of the Chief Minister, which is already bearing positive results.

Industries Minister, Harshwardhan Chauhan, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Chaudhary Ram Kumar, Principal Advisor (IT & Innovations) to the Chief Minister, Gokul Butail, Congress leader Pushpinder Verma, former Chief Secretary, V.C. Pharka, other office bearers and members of the society were present on the occasion.
