It has been recently reported that Delhi has surfaced with thousands of posters with ‘Modi Hatao Desh Bachao’ written on it. The Anti-Modi posters were pasted on walls and poles in several parts of Delhi. The Delhi Police have registered more than 100 FIR’s so far and have arrested 6 people in connection with the case. People from the printing firm have been arrested and they are accused of not printing their firm’s name on the poster.

Special CP Dependra Pathak talked to media on this and said, “Delhi Police registered more than 100 FIRs while 6 people were arrested for objectionable posters including some against PM Narendra Modi across the city. The posters didn’t have details about the printing press. The FIRs have been filed under sections of the Printing Press Act and Defacement of Property Act.”

Delhi police seized almost 2000 posters which were allegedly being delivered to the Aam Aadmi Party’s office. Police also found the van with the posters in the IP Estate area in Central Delhi during which the driver told the police that he had been instructed to deliver the posters to AAP headquarters.

All this started after the Modi government stopped Delhi’s budget which was scheduled for Tuesday and was put on hold due to the Kejriwal dispensation and the central government trading charges over allocations under various heads Following this Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejrival wrote a letter to PM Modi requesting him not to stop Delhi’s budget. He wrote in the letter, “This is the first in the last 75 years that a state's budget has been stalled. Why are you upset with Delhiites? Please don't stall Delhi's budget. With folded hands, Delhiites urge you to pass their budget.”

After all the events, the budget has now been passed and presented by the new finance minister Kailash Gahlot in the Delhi assembly. The budget requires approval from the President through the Union home ministry.
