Indian actor, singer, Diljit Dosanjh who has entertained the audiences with his Punjabi music and acting in Hindi and Punjabi films has been in talks for his collaboration with Imtiaz Ali for the upcoming biopic film titled ‘Chamkila’ co-starring with Parineeti Chopra. Recently Dilijit Dosajh has updated about the film and shared a gratitude post mentioning his shoot wrap for the film.
Diljit took to his instagram and shared a picture with the director Imtiaz Ali in which they both can be seen sitting together on the ground and covered their heads with a piece of clothing. He penned down a gratitude note. With the post and gave the information of his shoot wrap. He thanked Imitiaz Ali and mentioned in the caption, “@imtiazaliofficial Sir Baut Pyar Ji.. Baut Kuch Sikheya Tuadey Kolon.”

As soon as Diljit shared the post, his fans started showering love in the comment section and dropped their hearts while showing their excitement for the film. Parineeti also took to her Instagram story and shared the news of Diljit shoot wrap. Earlier Parineeti Chopra announced her shoot wrap in which she shared some glimpse from the shoot and thanked Imtiaz Ali and the whole team.
Speaking about the film Chamkila, it is based on two popular Punjabi singers and couple Amarjot Kaur and Amar Singh Chamkila who were assassinated on 8 March 1988 alongwith the members of their musical band. Imtiaz has been working on thIS since 2019 and it is said to be his dream project. Parineeti will be portraying the role of Amarjot whereas Diljit will be seen as Chamkila in the film.
