SS Rajamouli’s directorial film ‘RRR’ and the song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from the movie have made a different place in the film industry and also in people’s hearts. They have been honoured with many awards and have received global appreciation. After all the success, all the eyes were on the Oscars 2023. Finally the verdict is out and the moment has come for which we all have been waiting for. Naatu Naatu has won the Oscars 2023. 

The song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from ‘RRR’ has won the Oscars 2023 in Best Song Category and has created history by becoming the first song from any Indian production to win in the Best Song Category. The song competed with the other songs including Applause (Tell It Like a Woman), Hold My Hand (Top Gun Maverick), Lift Me Up (Black Panther Wakanda Forever), and This is a Life (Everything Everywhere All at Once).

RRR Movie took to their official twitter account and shared a post expressing their big win at the Oscars and dedicated it to all the fans.

Music Producer MM Keeravaani and Chandrabose accepted the award. It is the first song from any film production to be honoured with the award while it is the second Indian song to win this award after Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire, which won in 2009 in the same category.

Naatu Naatu's mind blowing and energetic live performance on the stage took the hearts of the audience. It received a standing ovation and a huge round of applause from the viewers and set the whole stage on fire with the killing performance. Rahul Sipligunj and Kalaa Bairavaa did a live performance on the stage whereas Ram Charan and Jr. NTR did not dance on the stage.
