One of the best directors of Punjabi industry who has given back to back hit films like Saunkan Saunkane, Honsla Rakh, and Kala Shah Kala among others is now ready to direct another big film titled ‘Jugni 1907’ which is a historic period drama based on true events. The film ‘Jugni 1907’ will feature Ammy Virk and Karamjit Anmol in lead roles.
Ammy Virk took to his instagram and shared the motion poster of the film. Speaking of the movie's poster, the image of two people dashing in front of a train while carrying firelight perfectly captures the mood of a period drama. Also, we can see India inscribed on the Jugni logo in the poster, suggesting that the film may not be solely set in Punjab.
Coming to the credits the movie based on true events is written by Jass Grewal and produced by Daljit Thind and Ammy Virk. Amarjit Singh Saron will serve as the director of the movie ‘Jugni 1907’ which will be presented by Thind Motion Films & Punj Paani films Production. The film is slated to hit the big screens on 10 May 2023 in Punjabi and Hindi. It is a high budget movie which will mark its level in the Punjabi industry by pushing all the limits.
The director Amarjit Singh showed his excitement for ‘Jugni 1907’ while announcing the film and said, “It's both a privilege and a challenge to work on a film based on historical events.
