DC Vishesh sarangal advocates to constitute Sub Division level committees to check illicit liquor

Deputy commissioner Kapurthala Mr. Vishesh sarangal has asked the Excise and Police departments to constitute sub division level joint committees to check and stop the illicit liquor . Today while reviewing the function of Excise department here at DAC , Mr. Sarangal said that these joint committees would have to increase the patrolling especially in the sensitive areas on the banks of rivers in the district. 

Mr. Sarangal also asked the police officials to speed up the process to attach the property of drug smugglers besides working in a close cooperation with the excise department to ensure the punishment for culprits in the drug related cases. 

SP Harvinder Singh has said that the search operation by Punjab Police in drug prone areas have been launched under the guidance of SSP , by comprising the SPs and DSPs to not only catch the drug smugglers besides ensuring the rehabilitation of drug victims in the district .
