The Shiromani Akali Dal strongly warned the Congress party for hatching conspiracies to weaken the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) which is an apex body for the management of Sikhs shrines in India.In a statement issued from Chandigarh the SAD Secretary and Spokesman and Punjab Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that the congress party is trying to pide the Sikhs of Haryana keeping in view the Haryana Assembly Election and Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee leaders like Amrinder Singh are adding fuel to the fire.

Dr. Cheema further said that it has become the habit of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda to raise the issue each time on the eve of election. But every time the Sikh masses of Haryana had failed his evil designs to pide the Sikh community. He also reminded Captain Amrinder Singh that his past efforts to wrest control of SGPC had miserably failed even though he used the full state power to do this. Similarly the conspiracies of the Haryana CM will meet the same fate.Dr. Cheema reiterated that SGPC has been constituted after a lot of sacrifices and is governed by an act of the Parliament. The state government of Haryana is illegally and unconstitutional trying to break it. “SAD is well aware of the evil design of the Congress and will not allow the pisions at any cost,” added Dr. Cheema.
