PSPS PG College NCC Cadets shine in RDC-2023

Republic Day Camp is not just a camp, it is an emotion; emotion for the cadets who strive to be a part of Republic Day Contingent and step in DGNCC to transform.

Securing 4th position for the first time in the history, the  ten cadet NCC contingent of Padma Shri Padma Sachdeva Government PG College for Women, Gandhi Nagar attended this prestigious camp and brought laurels to the College. 

Two cadets from 1 J&K Naval Unit; 04 cadets from 1 J&K Girls Battalion, NCC Srinagar and 04 from 2 J&K Girls BN, NCC JAMMU were part of the team that attended the Republic Day Camp 2023 at New Delhi.

The cadets were well trained at various Pre-RDC camps at Nagrota, Jammu over a two month period, prior to their departure to New Delhi. They added sheen to the Prestige of College by participating in various events and competitions like Drill, Cultural Programmes, Flag Area etc. 

From 1 J&K GIRLS BN, Senior Cadet Captain Parul Sharma was selected for Kartavyapath for which she received ADG Commendation. Cadet Captain Kiran Choudhary participated in cultural events and also achieved ADG Commendation.

SUO Tania Chib and JUO Marjam from 1 J&K Girls Battalion, NCC Srinagar, were a part of Kartavyapath Contingent whereas JUO Riya Kaith was a part of PM Rally and JUO Ankeeta Langeh participated in cultural events. 

From 2 J&K GIRLS BN, NCC JAMMU, SUO Shakshi formed a part of the PM Rally contingent and JUO Amna Khan marched Kartavyapath. JUO Manshi Sharma was selected for All India Guard of Honor showcasing salami to Honorable PM Shri Narendra Modi whereas Seargent Rakshika Sharma was a part of cultural events. 

Principal of the College Prof. Minu Mahajan, congratulated and applauded the Cadets for the hard work, dedication and strenuous efforts for bringing laurels to the College for representing at National Level. 

She also told cadets to stay motivated and be a role model for others to emulate. Associate NCC Officers of the College Lt. Dr. Revika Arora of 1 J&K Girls Battalion, NCC Srinagar; Lt. Dr. Neelima Gupta of 1 J&K Naval Unit; Lt. Suman Bala of 2 J&K Girls BN. and Prof. Poonam, Care Taker Officer of 2 J&K Girls BN, NCC JAMMU, encouraged the achievers and wished them the best for their future.
