Punjab Government To Train Dairy Farmers For Producing Milk Products

"Dairy farming is  the second best choice of the farmers but to make this as an absolute alternative to present practice of cereals crop production, the vast untapped potential of this sector needs to be exploited for ensuring reasonable returns which may be at least at par with the present level of income generation from the crop persification". Disclosing this here today, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development Minister  Gulzar Singh Ranike said that Punjab Government would impart training to the dairy farmers between the age of 20-50 years for milk products  and who  have minimum five buffalos' dairy farm and have passed matric.

The Minister further said that this training would be provided at Chatmalli (Morinda-Kurali Road) from July 16, 2014 for two weeks. He said that for this purpose prospectus could be obtained from  Punjab Dairy Development Board SCO 1106-07, Sector 22-D as well as District Offices in the State and submit  the form after getting it verified from District Deputy Director, Dairy along with Photograph and certificates on the date of interview.The Minister said that  interview will be held on July 7, 2017 and this selection would conducted by Departmental Selection Committee. He said that fee must be deposited after the selection at the spot.
