Jamuna was an Indian actress, politician, and director who primarily worked in Telugu movies. She made her acting debut in Dr. Garikapati Rajarao's Puttillu when she was 16 years old, and L. V. Prasad's Missamma was the film that gave her her big break. Additional films in her filmography are Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. This Tollywood veteran actress has now said goodbye to the world. Jamuna passed away at the age of eighty-six, She took her last breath at her home in Hyderabad. Jamuna made her debut in the year of 1953.

She has appeared in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi movies. Jamuna Partiva’s body was brought to the film chamber at 11 am. The character of  Satya Bhama which she played made her popular among the people of industry and the audience. The film titled ‘Missamma’ made a turning point in her career. She acted in more than 150 Telugu films. She has made her appearance in various hit films and some of them are Santosham, Missamma, Chiranjeevulu, Tenali Ramakrishnudu, Dongaramudu, Bangaro Papa, Vadde Pana, Chintamani, Bhukailas, Bhagyarekha, Gundammakatha. She has also received various accolades including NTR National Award in 2008.

Jamuna received Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Actress in 1964 and 1968. Jamuna was elected as a Rajahmundry-based Congress MP in 1989. Before entering the Industry, her name was Janabhai. But after some time her parents changed her name to Jamuna on the advice of an astrologer. In their Career journey, she has acted with various famous actors including, NTR, ANNR, SV Ranga Rao, and Krishna and by collaborating with these actors she entertained movie lovers.  Jamuna was full of various skills. She also has another skill and that was she also excelled in politics.
