An interaction cum cultural programme was today organised by Department of Youth Services & Sports Kishtwar here at DC office complex wherein the young and talented local artists of the district presented mesmerizing performances.

They also get the opportunity to interact with top brace officers of the District Administration. Deputy Commissioner, Dr Devansh Yadav (IAS ) along with  ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal (JKAS) and ADC Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma (JKAS) graced the occasion.

At the outset, DYSSO Kishtwar Kharati Lal Sharma welcomed the chief guest with a bouquet of flowers and thereafter gave a detailed insight  about the preparations regarding the upcoming Union Territory  level "Youth Festival-2023" going to be held from 2nd to 5th January 2023 at Jammu. 

He said the local artists from across all the  districts  are going to participate under different categories.The artists from district Kishtwar who are going to participate in the Youth Festival presented their cultural items including Classical vocal, light musical Harmonium, Western Guitar, Solo Tabla Classical etc.

The main attraction of the programme was the multi-hued cultural group folk dance presented by the group of local artists and students of block Nagseni, which received applause from the audiences.

During the interaction programme, the chief guest and other guests shared their experience with the artists and extended warm wishes for their success  in the upcoming UT  level Youth Festival.The DC encouraged  the young artists to give their best in the competition and shine throughout the festival by their mesmerizing and unique performances.

Terming the festival a great opportunity for Youth artists to showcase their talent, he asked them to put their all out efforts and infest the unique cultural elements of our local culture and tradition through Cultural performances to the audience of other parts of state and bring good name to the district.
