Awards To Be Presented On The Eve Of Teachers’ Day

The Punjab Government has sought applications from teachers for state awards to be conferred on awardees on Teachers day this year.According to an official spokesman, eligible teachers have been requested to submit their application to Directorate through concerned District Education officers after getting it checked from District selection committee till July 7, 2014. Disclosing the process for applying for award, the spokesman said that Profiles sent by the schools would be confirmed by the district level committee and also recommendation would be checked by the committee otherwise the profiles would not be accepted. He clarified that submissions of the original documents was not required. The profiles would only be forwarded by the District Level Officers to the Directorate. In this regards instruction issued to all Circle Education Officers and District Education Officers (Secondary and Elementary Education). He further said that no application would be accepted that had been directly submitted by teachers to Directorate. He said that the department would ask for original certificates whenever required.
