Mega Farmers’ Awareness Camp held at Pouni

A mega farmers’ awareness camp was organised by the Animal Husbandry department Reasi here at Pouni. DDC Member, Rita Sharma and Deputy Director Central Animal Husbandry Department, Dr Javed Katoch were the chief guests on the occasion.

Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Reasi Abdul Majid, Extension Officer Publicity Wing, PRI members besides a large number of farmers attended the camp. During the camp, Mass Awareness about various departmental schemes like IDDS, IPDP, RGM, NLM and others were imparted to the farmers. 

During the camp subclinical mastitis tests were conducted and a help desk for various departmental schemes was also set up. On the occasion, free medicine was distributed among the farmers. 

Later, the chief guests distributed prizes among best calf owners. Progressive farmers presented theme based skit showcasing the various departmental schemes.
