Would have been in teaching, if not in Politics: Virbhadra Singh

“If I would not have been a politician I would have preferred to be a Lecturer and would have adopted teaching as a whole time profession” said Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh here at Rajiv Bhawan on occasion of his 81st birthday after inaugurating the blood donation camp.He said that it was a co-incident that during the year 1962 Smt Indira Gandhi and Dr Lal Bahadur Shashtri picked me up from Mahasu constituency on advise of the then Prime-minister of Jawaharlal Nehru. “I was elected to the then Lok Sabha and since there was no looking back for me” said he, adding that I have fully devoted my life for the service of the people of the State and will keep doing so in future too. “I am definitely going to release my Autobiography, but the people have to wait for it” said the Chief Minister.

Assuring the Computer teachers association he said that the government would assure that all computer teachers were absorbed and services of non of them to be quashed.He said that we have achieved a hard won freedom after giving many sacrifices and the Indian political scenario since past many decades have changed drastically and numerous pisive forces entered the socio-political arena and were bent upon to pide the people on  the basis of Caste, Region, Religion and Language adding that the time has come that such pisive forces be defeated. He said that   “I have not considered anyone as my enemy but as my political adversary in my entire career”.“I want to see Shimla as a clean and Green town and I will ensure that steps be taken to re-store the old glory and preservation of this heritage town” he remarked. The Government have plans to prepare a policy foreseeing the future requirements of the people pertaining to the availability of water, parking, etc which will benefit the people in times to come, said he.
