DDC Poonch Inder Jeet reviews arrangements for Gurupurab celebrations

District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet convened a meeting to review the arrangements for Gurpurab (Prakash Diwas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji) here at conference hall of DC office Poonch.
The president of DGPC, Narinder Singh informed that the Nagar Kirtan of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji will be held on Sunday 25 December and the Akhand Path of Shri Guru Granth Sahib will be commenced on December, 27 while after the accomplished of Shri Akhand Path, the main function will be held on December 29, 2022.
During the meeting, the DC had a detailed review of the arrangements being put in place by different departments including transportation, water and power supply, sanitation, medical facilities and other basic amenities in and around the Gurudwaras during the celebration.
In the meeting, religious heads and prominent citizens raised various issues related to the arrangement of Gurpurab. They requested the administration to ensure drinking water, power supply, sanitation, security arrangement, Medical facilities etc. during the celebration.
The DC asked the Traffic Department to ensure proper management and regulation of traffic to avoid inconvenience to the devotees. Similarly, the Police department was asked to ensure adequate arrangements of security by deploying additional police personnel.
He asked the Health department to ensure adequate Medicare and keep standby emergency ambulance services at the venues of major congregations. The DC directed the CEO Municipality to ensure cleanliness in and around Gurudwaras.
The PHE and PDD Departments were asked to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Tahir Mustafa Malik, Additional Superintendent of Police, Mushim Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi, Tehsildar Haveli, Bashir Anjum Khattak, CEO Municipality, Varinder Singh, Arto Poonch, Basharat Mehmood, Xen, PDD, Irshad Hussain, Head Quarter Assistant (Tehsildar), Jahangir Hussain, AD Food & Supply, Ranjeet Singh, District Tuberclousis Officer, Dr.Femida Banday, besides prominent Citizens, Advocate, Mohd Zaman, Taj Mir, Advocate Rajinder Singh (PP), religious heads including President DGPC, Narinder Singh, President SDS, Satish Sasan, President Jama Masjid, Mufti Misbhai and their members were present.
