ADC Jammu reviews Christmas arrangements

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADM) Jammu, Sandeep Seonetra today chaired a meeting of different departments and representatives of Christian Community here at DC office to discuss arrangements for the Christmas Festival.

SP City North, Kuldeep Handa, SP Traffic, RP Singh along with senior officers from Security, Health, PHE, PDD, JMC besides Father Kuriakose Chairman, Christian Fellowship Trust, President All Joint Churches J&K, Showkat Peter; Camres David; Waris Gill;  SM Gill, S. Peter, Asif Gill, Titus and others were also present in the meeting.

Threadbare discussions were held on various issues including sanitation, uninterrupted electricity, ensuring of regular and safe drinking water, security arrangements and traffic management. 

The Additional Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the concerned officers to extend all necessary facilities to the devotees including un-interrupted power and clean drinking water supply, sanitation, medical facilities and other basic amenities.

The Traffic authorities were asked to ensure proper management of traffic wherever required during the event and place proper signboards for the convenience of the devotees during the Christmas. 

He also asked the Jammu Municipal Corporation to ensure cleanliness in and around the Churches. The ADC also asked the health authorities for deployment of doctors and para medical staff to facilitate the devotees. 

He asked the Police authorities to deploy adequate security personnel around the Churches. The PHE Department was asked to ensure uninterrupted water supply, while the Power Department was asked to ensure proper lighting arrangements in addition to uninterrupted power supply throughout prayers and masses.
