A very sad news has come for one of the oldest parties of Punjab that is  Shiromani Akali Dal. It has been reported that the senior leader of Shiromani Akali Dal and former Member of Parliament Ranjit Singh Brahmpura has passed away. He took his last breath in PGI Chandigarh. The former leader of Akali Dal has passed away at the age of 85. 

According to information, Brahmpura was under treatment at PGI Chandigarh due to illness for the past several days, where he breathed his last. Speaking of the professional front, he has also been a Member of Parliament and former Minister of Akali Dal and was also an MLA for 4 years. Brahmapura was among the patron members of the Shiromani Akali Dal.

Group leaders including party president Sukhbir Singh Badal, former minister Bikram Singh Majithia, Daljit Singh Cheema have expressed deep grief over the demise of the senior leader of Shiromani Akali Dal.

Meanwhile, the cremation of Ranjit Singh Brahmpura will take place on Wednesday at his native village Brahmapura district, Tarn Taran.
