In its "Year in Search 2022" report, Google has highlighted the topics that generated the most interest and searches this year. The list, which is published yearly for different nations, reveals a distinct change in search habits in India. Instead of the coronavirus-related inquiries that dominated the top trending search list in 2021, people searched more about entertainment, games, and other things this year.
And this year the list includes many slain artists be it regional, national or international. And popular Punjabi musician Sidhu Moose Wala who was killed in broad daylight has been marked at the 2nd most searched Indian topic. Other than him, legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar grabbed 1st position after her demise.
Moreover, the Russia-Ukraine war, UP Election Results and Covid-19 cases in the country also topped Google's year in Search 2022 charts as news events. International fame, Legendary Australian cricketer Shane Warne, Britain's Queen Elizabeth II, and singer Bappi Lahiri's deaths also grabbed Indians' interest during the year.
Many interesting other things were also searched on google. People are curious to know quirky things like to know about NATO, NFT, PFI, surrogacy, solar eclipse, Article 370 and metaverse.
