Aam Aadmi Party has been breaking several records and are leaving no stone unturned to make their name into the headlines. AAP crossed the majority mark, dislodging the BJP to win the MCD polls.

But what grabbed the limelight is Aam Aadmi Party's transgender candidate Bobby Kinnar has won from Sultanpuri A Ward 43. It is for the first time in MCD, a member of the transgender community has represented a ward.

Who is Bobby Kinnar?

Bobby Kinnar is the Aam Aadmi Party's first transgender candidate in history. Her social work is well renowned. According to reports, she has made it easier for some local kids to enroll in school, a difficult undertaking in the nation's capital. She is 38 years old. At the tender age of 15, her family gave her away to a guruji. 

The amazing battle of Bobby will surely inspire you. Due to harassment and bullying, she was forced to drop out of Class 9. Following her participation in the Anna Hazare anti-corruption campaign in 2011, she entered the social service and political spheres. Her goal is to clean up the Delhi Municipal Corporation of corruption.

Though she has not studied much, she runs a primary school to educate the children of her area, so that no child is deprived of basic formal education. In addition, Bobby Kinnar leads the "Hindu Yuva Samaj Ekta Awam" Anti-Terrorism Committee's Delhi chapter, an organisation she has been associated with for the past 15 years.

It has been a big win for Arvind Kejriwal’s party. People are really delighted that the transgender community are also getting equal rights and space in every field.
