DIET Kathua organises District Level INSPIRE Award Exhibition

8 Models selected for Divisional Level Competition

District level INSPIRE Award exhibition was organized by DIET Basohli at Government Middle School Chak Sheikhan, Kathua today.The students from different schools of the Kathua and Samba districts put in their best efforts to showcase their scientific understanding through projects and models.

A total of 75 scientific models and projects were displayed in the exhibition of which  58 models were made by the participants of district Kathua whereas 17 models were displayed by students of district Samba.

CEO Kathua, C.L Thappa, who was the chief guest, in his address, said that students are the upcoming scientists of the country. He  said, “ Success and failure go side by side but to be successful you need to put in endless efforts to achieve your goals.”

Principal DIET Basohli, Nand Kishore, in his welcome address, shared the status of various training programmes conducted during the academic session 2022-23. He also shared the achievements of the students of district Kathua at Divisional and National level events organised from time to time.

The participant students have prepared their models based on innovative ideas under the guidance of their mentor-teachers. Budding scientists displayed their models and projects based on solar energy conservation, water conservation, disaster management, modern agriculture, digital India, overloading detector, tsunami predictor etc. in the exhibition.

Appreciation certificates were given to District Resource Persons for their contributions in various training programs being organized by the DIET.At the end, participation certificates were given to all the participating students and the best 8 models were selected for divisional level exhibition.

Models selected for divisional level competitions are of Arun Sambyal of  MS Chack Nathal, Sakshi Thappa of MS Chack Nathal, Jatin Sharma of HS Prangoli, Sakshi Rajput of HS Bhed Bhalore, Isha Devi of HSS Forelain,  Stadia Akhter of MS Lakhanpur, Afsa Malik of Bharti Public School Samba, Deepak Pandotra of HS Badhori
