The year 2022 has brought many gifts, as a number of directors and performers have revealed the dates for the release of their eagerly anticipated films. And finally, one of the biggest films of the year is set to hit the big screen soon. We are talking about Diljit Dosanjh and Nimrat Khaira’s Jodi. Yes, the filmmakers have finally revealed the release date for Jodi.
The huge piece of news has been shared by Diljit Dosanjh via his Instagram story. He has shared the enchanting poster. The poster gives not only a periodic vibe but a love aura too. From the poster of the film, it has also been noted that music will be the USP of this movie. You can see musical notes in the background and a tape in which it has been written, “Diljit and Nimrat.”

The film, which was written and directed by Amberdeep Singh, is being produced by Amrinder and Karaj Gill. The pandemic forced a modification to the original release date of 2020. Additionally, it is said to be a period drama with the ideal balance of romance, humour, and depth of the subject matter. The film Jodi is scheduled to hit the big screen on May 5, 2023.

Meanwhile, Amberdeep announced a few months ago that Jodi would be released in the winter. However, it appears that the producers have abandoned that plan and will release the year's most anticipated film in the summer. The first look of the film also suggests that it is inspired by the lives of Punjabi singers Amar Singh Chamkila and Amarjot Kaur.
However, we will have to wait for the trailer and teaser to learn more about the film. In terms of additional information, the film contains more than 15 songs, all of which were produced by Tru Skool, a UK-based Punjabi music producer.
