Pratibha Singh Urges To Provide Rs. 100 Crore For Tourism Projects

Member of Parliament Pratibha Singh called on Union Tourism Minister Dr. K. Chiranjeevi at Transport Bhawan New Delhi and requested him to sanction Rs. 100 crore for various tourism development projects in the State.Mrs Pratibha Singh urged him to sanction funds for the  Integrated Development of Kullu-Manali Mega Tourism Circuit, Integrated Development of International Convention Centre and Expo-Mart at Kiarighat-Shimla-Barog as Tourist Destination, Integrated Development of Buddhist Destination as a Tourist Circuit, Integrated Development of Una-Nadaun as a Tourist Destination and setting up of Institute of Hotel Management in Kullu . 

She apprised the Union Minister that these tourism projects would be utilized for creating tourism related facilities like convention centres , tourist reception centres,  eco parks, way side amenities, vehicle parking etc. to facilitate the tourists . She said that it would help to boost the tourism in the State besides increasing the flow of tourists from other countries. She said that it would also help to attract private sector to invest in tourism sector in State.

Mrs Pratibha Singh requested him to launch special campaign under 'Incredible India' to promote tourism in  Himalayan States of the country and also  actively associate Himalayan States in all the International conferences organized to show-case the tourism potential of various regions. She requested him to provide adequate funds for developing tourism infrastructural facilities in Himalayan States besides promoting eco-tourism.Dr. K. Chiranjeevi said that Himachal Pradesh had emerged as a favourite tourist destination in the country and assured Mrs. Pratibha Singh  that Central Government  would provide all logistic, technical and financial assistance to the State to promote tourism and related activities.
