As everyone knows, Shaheedi Jor Mela is around the corner. The four "Sahibzaade" (Sons)' martyrdom is a significant and fundamental part of Sikh history, and the Sikh community remembers and commemorates the occasion of their martyrdom each year in December, also known as "Poh" month, with tremendous vigour and severe anguish.

Now, the film is slated to release before this pivotal occasion. Gurpreet Ghuggi, Jacynthe Cauvier, Yograj Singh, Shahbaz Khan, and Jaswant Daman star in the Punjabi film Dastan-e-Sirhind. Sardar Sohi, Pramod Moutho, Gurinder Makna, Sanjay Swaraj, Gurpreet Bhangu, Banwari Lal, Gurmeet Sajjan, Rana Vickram  Singh, and Anshtejpal also play key roles in the upcoming film. 

The trailer for Dastan-e-Sirhind has been released, and we must say that it not only perfectly depicts Sikh history but also makes us cry. Speaking of the trailer, the character of a Canadian NRI Punjabi who leaves his religion is the basis for the movie. Due to his hectic job schedule, he (Gurpreet Ghuggi) neglects to spend time with his family and instructs his child in the Sikh religion and culture.

In order to reestablish contact with his ancestors' roots, culture, and traditions, he travels with his family to Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab. His grandmother relates the full story of Mata Gujri and Chote Sahibzadas' martyrdom. The movie urges viewers to keep in mind Sikhism's historical background. The film is based on animated versions as well as real ones. It is a perfect amalgamation to show the reality faced by Chaar Sahibzaade and their grandmother. The film Dastan-e-Sirhind will be released on December 2, 2022.

From the trailer, it has been seen that the film's shooting has taken place both in India and Canada. The story, screenplay, and dialogue of Dastaan-e-Sirhind have been written by Navi Sidhu. The film has been helmed by Navi Sidhu and Manpreet Brar and produced by Vimal Chopra, Harsimran Singh, and Maninder Papneja under the banners of Creative Eye Films, Brother Hood Production, and Ekamjot Motion Picture. The film will be released worldwide by White Hill Studios.
