Vice- Chairperson DDC Udhampur Juhi Pathania meets several delegations

Juhi Pathania, Vice Chairperson District Development Council Udhampur, today met scores of delegations at DDC headquarters, DC office, Udhampur and listened to their grievances.The delegations raised demands ranging from health, education & tourism facilities, strengthening of road network & power infrastructure besides others. 

The Vice Chairperson gave a patient hearing to all of them.While interacting with the deputations, she said that the whole exercise is in accordance with the Prime Minister’s principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.

“Rather it is a sincere attempt to have direct interaction with the masses and provide best possible solutions to their day to day administrative and development issues” she added.She called it a sincere attempt to lessen the gap between administration and people. 

“We should ensure that genuine issues of people are redressed in an efficacious way” she asserted. Many deputations including individuals came with a view to project their issues.Deputations & common people discussed a range of issues related to the development of their respective areas and their other concerns.

Amongst issues pertaining to framing regularisation and fixing quota in recruitment for MGNREGA employees, issues relating to drinking water, installation of lights and repair of lane drains, Electricity, NABARD roads, bus services, provision of human and animal healthcare, flood protection and restoration of public utilities were espoused by a wide rainbow of deputations with references and telephone calls to concerned officials.

Besides, many grievances were resolved  on the spot by giving necessary instructions to the concerned departments.The Vice-chairperson urged the PRIs to play a crucial role in the development activities and ensure that all the developmental works being executed in their respective jurisdictions are completed within the set times while adhering to quality parameters. 

Various  issues were projected by DDC Ramnagar -II Jattu Ram, DDC Ramnagar I, DDC Latti - Marotti Pinky Devi, Mool Raj Ji, Sagar Verma , Balwan Singh, Sarpanch and various other delegations of Sarpanches and other PRI members also submitted a list of their issues and demands and sought intervention of Vice Chairperson to address the same.
