ADC Poonch Dr Basharat Hussain reviews arrangements for Gurupurab

Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Dr. Basharat Hussain on Friday chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for Gurpurab (Prakash Diwas of Guru Nanak Dev  Ji)  being held on November 8, 2022.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi; Dysp DAR, Sachin Gupta; Xen PDD, Irshad Hussain; AD Food, Ranjeet Singh;  Inspector MVI, Gurmeet Singh; EO Municipality, Ranjeet Singh;  Dr. Famida Banday, Naib Tehsildar, Anmol Singh, members of civil society, prominent citizens and religious heads including President DGPC, Poonch, Narinder Singh, President, SDS,Satish Sasan, V.President, DGPC, Surinder Singh Bajaj, President GPP, Onkar Singh, Adv. Mohd. Zaman, Taj Mir, Gen Secy DGPC, Harcharan Singh, Secy RDSS, Balbir Singh, Members DGPC, Surjan Singh, Amrik Singh, Amarjeet Singh,Tirath Singh, and others.

In the meeting, religious heads and prominent citizens raised various issues related to the arrangements for Gurpurap. They sought  adequate drinking water and power supply, foolproof security arrangements, Medical facilities etc. during the Gurupurb celebration.

The ADC directed the Executive Engineers from Jal Shakti and Power Development Departments to take measures to ensure uninterrupted Water and power supply to all Gurudwaras on the Parkash Diwas day.

The ADC also directed the Municipal authorities to maintain cleanliness in and around the main Gurdwaras. He also directed them to carry out the necessary repairs of the street lights.The meeting was informed that comprehensive security and traffic plans have been formulated for hassle-free movement and smooth celebrations of Guru Purab.

The ADC further directed the Chief Medical Officer to make available adequate Medicare facilities and Ambulance  at the main venue.
