NYK Doda organises Unity Run, closing ceremony of Clean India campaign 2.0

Nehru Yuva Kendra Doda, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India on Monday organised Unity Run across the district to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.The closing ceremony of Clean India campaign 2.0 was also held with the active involvement of National Youth Volunteers and Youth Clubs. 

At the district level, the Unity Run was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan in the presence of National Youth Volunteers and Youth Clubs.The event started with the Integrity Pledge by the Officers, Staff members, volunteers and students of different educational institutions. 

The unity run remained colourful amid chanting of patriotic slogans by all the participants. After passing through various prominent locations of the city, the run culminated at Sports Stadium, Doda.After the Unity Run, the closing ceremony of Clean India campaign 2.0 was also held in which the NYK volunteers collected and eradicated plastic waste across the market. 

It is pertinent to mention that on this day of 31st October, more than 100 unity runs were organised across all blocks and 600 Kgs of plastic waste was eradicated collectively at all locations.
