Academic Unit II of JK-SCERT, Jammu Division concluded 05 Days Workshop on "Development of Manual on Content Awareness, Enrichment and Pedagogical Skills for Secondary level Masters/ Teacher teaching Social Science”.

The workshop was conducted under the able guidance of H.R Pakhroo, Joint Director JKSCERT, Jammu, the Head of Academic Unit II Swarn Singh Jaral (Professor), Parshotam Singh, Academic Officer (Programme Co-ordinator), Amit Sharma. Academic Officer (Associate Co-ordinator) with effect from 17.10.2022 to 21.10.2022.. 

The programme was attended by 50 Masters/teachers from 10 Districts of Jammu Division, five from each District. The participants were trained by the Resource Persons having proficiency in Social Science.The resource persons of the programme were Puneet Thukral, Dr.Neeraj Jandial, Bheem.Bakshi, Dr. Harpreet Kour, Pawan Vivek, Smt Aneeta Koul, Neeraj Sharma, Yamini Atrey, Dr Mehreen Sheikh, Navneet Gupta and Jeevan Singh.

The purpose of this workshop was to enhance and upgrade the teaching skills and to develop Teacher’s Resource Manual which shall help the teachers to enrich their content and improve pedagogy while classroom transactions.

The Joint Director SCERT (J&K), Jammu while addressing the participants in the valedictory session of the programme encouraged them to promote the pedagogical and innovative skills to the grass root level to develop creativity and the ability to solve the problems in the teaching of Social Science. 

The participants were also addressed by  Prof. Swarn Singh, Associate Professors N P Singh, Pawan Kumar, Kishore Kumar and Neeraj Jandial, Assistant Professors Dr. Sanjeevni and Irvinder Kour. The vote of thanks was presented by Anil Sharma Academic Officer JKSCERT Jammu.
