The new captain has been announced after the Weekend Ka Vaar and the first week of Bigg Boss season 16. Yes, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, who was the first captain, has been removed from the position. And recent reports suggest that actor Gautam Vig and Bigg Boss Marathi winner Shiv Thakare were in the race to become the captain of the house. 

In the past, Bigg Boss had challenged Nimrit to a matchup with Shalin Bhanot. The two contestants were instructed to strike a posture while holding the baskets on their heads. The other housemates were instructed to put things in the basket of the competitor they wanted to get rid of. Whoever missed the basket would be out of the game, and the victor would take over as captain.

And the same has been done this time too. Bigg Boss declared that both Shiv and Gautam must stand with a tub on their heads during the captaincy challenge, and anyone who doesn't want them to win must drop bulky items into their tub. To get Shiv out of the race, Shalin, who wished to save Gautam, brought a bulky suitcase full of clothes.

Now, according to the promo, it has been noted that Gauatm Vig will become the new captain of the house. 

Meanwhile, as soon as the contestants started to emerge on the show, they started to turn on one another, and the Bigg Boss 16 house quickly became a battleground. 'Bigg Boss' is likewise making every effort to gradually introduce suspenseful twists.
