Adipurush, a high-profile Ramayana adaptation, is already mired in controversy four months before its scheduled debut because of how Ravana and Hanuman are portrayed as well as its subpar visual effects.

The 1.46-minute teaser for the film, which was helmed by Om Raut of "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior" fame, has been unveiled. And the fallout started right away. But in between all these Boycott Bollywood trends, have you noticed that the views of the teaser have crossed over 80 million views on Youtube.

Yes, the trailer has not only crossed 80 million news on youtube but has also been trending at Number 1. While it takes hard effort and huge money to make a movie, it takes just a single controversy to bring a movie's fate into crisis. But in Adipurush's case, it seems like negative publicity helps boost the promotion of the film. You can watch it on T-Series' official Youtube channel. But here’s the proof we are talking about.

Now, all we have to wait and watch is that after its release, will the film survive in theatres and people will visit to watch the film. Everything will be cleared on January 12, 2023. Meanwhile, speaking of why people are boycotting the film, the multilingual historical drama, which stars ‘Baahubali’ actor Prabhas in the titular role as Lord Ram, also stars Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, a king of demons with ten heads. Many criticised the filmmakers for what they claimed was the apparent Islamization of Ravana since this Lankesh, who has a beard, furious eyes, and a buzz cut appears to be barbarism personified. Not only this, but Lord Hanuman's character also, who has been seen with a beard, without a moustache, and dressed in leather, also attracted criticism.

The love story of Ram and Sita has also become the talk of the nation. People are comparing Adipurush with Ramanand Sagar's epic serial "Ramayan ''. People are disappointed with the VFX. If reports are to be believed, then the film's budget was Rs 500 crore, making it one of the most expensive Indian films ever made.

Look at the difference in the look of Ram & Sita.

Adipurush has reduced them 2a cheap Bollywood version with no respect for the values Ram & Sita held.
Even the clothes worn by Kriti are an insult2 Maa Sita .

Forget the boycott this movie should be banned!#BanAdipurush pic.twitter.com/Kd4UBcG5OV
