The song Kala Chashma has now earned huge popularity from every corner of the world, which we can see through scrolling on social media. We can see that the users on Instagram reels are making their dance videos on the popular song ‘Kala Chashma’.

But do you know that the song was originally released in the 90s? Yes, you read that right. It was not from the movie ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ which was released in the year 2016, and was sung by the prominent singers Badshah and Neha Kakkar. Though the remake received huge popularity from its music which has fetched the attention of the listeners.

It was first sung by the Punjabi folk singer ‘Amar Arshi’ in 1991 in the Phagwara studio, located in district Jalandhar of Punjab state. He started his career initially by singing at local weddings and jagrans.

In 1991, the song’ kala chashma’ was written by the police constable and sung by the Punjabi folk singer ‘Amar Arshi’. He has said that this song has not collected money as well as fame for him, but in 2016, when this song was sung by the prominent faces of the music industry, the song got its real value.

Arshi said his son told him that it was all over the internet, but he didn’t pay any attention at all. He said from the last two weeks he started getting calls from some of his friends in the U.S, England, Canada. Also, he has seen all the videos which have gone viral on the internet.

Recently Hollywood celebrities ’Demi Lavato’ and ‘Jimmy Faloon' have shared a viral video of BTS from the Tonight Show where the duo was grooving on ‘Kala Chashma’ song. Amar Arshi also has sung the songs Aaja Ni Aaja in 2002, Rangali Kothi in 2006, Naa Chalda in 2009.

Not only this, recently, a video of Indian cricketers also went viral, in which they were foot tapping to the same, and the song was highly appreciated and recommended as a dance number.
