DC Kishtwar chairs Weekly Block Diwas programme, inspects on-going developmental works in far flung Sounder, Dachhan areas

Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav today presided over the weekly Block Diwas programme held at the far flung areas of Soundar Dachhan, besides took first hand appraisal of the ongoing developmental works and functioning of govt institutions.
BDC chairman Satish Thakur, ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal, SDM Marwah Dr Mohsin Raza, ACD Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharma, DFO Vijay Kumar, GM DIC Dr Mohd Ashraf, DSWO Zubair Ahmed, DIO/ALC/AD Employment Kishtwar Amit Kumar, BDO Dachhan Ravi Kumar, ExEn R&B Sub-Division Marwah Mohd Aslam Lone, Tehsildar Dachhan Ranjeet Kumar, SHO Dachhan Sandeep Parihar, district and sectoral officers were present on the occasion.
The People from different sections of society including the prominent citizens, elected PRI members, locals of the area thronged the programme and put forward their issues before the DC.They apprised the DC of various issues pertaining to the upgradation of the local infrastructure of health, education, PHE and other key sectors.
The specific issues highlighted by the people of the Dachhan were creation of employment avenues for local youth, timely completion of PMGSY road to block Dachhan, repair of Kuhl at Dachhan, release of Land compensation, implementation of Area Development Plan under R&R plan, camping and functioning of Government Offices at Dachhan , meeting Staff Shortage in Education, Health and PHE Departments, resolution of demands of MGNREGA Workers, Flood Protection works in the habitations located near nallahs and flood prone areas, timely payment of MGNREGA and 14th FC works, Demand of College at Dachhan besides other.
After listening to the issues of people, DC Kishtwar redressed many grievances on the spot and passed a slew of directions to the concerned district officers for timely resolution of other projected grievances.He assured them that the functioning of the various government offices in the area will be streamlined without any fail and stringent action will be taken against the erring officials.
He directed SDM Marwah and PRIs to ensure the punctuality of the employees by keeping close and strict vigil of the functioning of the different offices in the area.He also assured the locals that the issue of land compensation will be addressed soon, while sports activities like Volleyball and cricket tournaments will be conducted shortly, more employment opportunities will be created in the tourism sector by converging the Schemes of Mission Youth JK with NRLM, SHGs and Forest department.
He also enlightened the masses about the hazardous effects of Drug Abuse among Youth in growing society and educated them all to fight against this menace jointly.During the visit, he also inspected the ongoing execution works at GHSS Sounder, Tehsil Office building Dachhan and the approach road to Dakbanglow Sounder.
He interacted with the teachers and students of GHSS Sounder and enquired about the functioning of school and stressed the teachers to work with utmost dedication to achieve desired learning outcomes.He also directed Tehsildar Dachhan to speed up the construction work of Tehsil Office Building at Sounder Dachhan and resolve the issues pertaining to the construction of approach road to Dakbanglow Sounder , besides identify the land feasibility for construction of community Hall under R&R plan.
He also took stock of the executing work of PMGSY road at Sounder and directed the executing agencies to mobilise the resources to initiate the construction of Bridges at Nanth Nallah and Hori Nallah immediately so that they are completed in stipulated time.
Meanwhile, the DC also conducted a meeting with Project Authorities of Pakal Dool, local civil and Police Administration wherein he discussed various components of RR Plan in detail.He directed all to work in a coordinated manner so that work on HEP run smoothly having a national importance.
Earlier in the morning, DC along with concerned officers visited the Saffron Development Farm, Berwar located on the outskirts of the Kishtwar town and took stock of the activities at the farm.Concerned officers were directed to make all possible efforts to increase the Saffron production in the district, assured all possible help from his side.
