DC Kishtwar pays maiden visit to Shree Machail Mata Ji Shrine

Pays obeisance at Holy shrine; takes stock of facilities, quality of services provided to pilgrims

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav today conducted first visit to Shree Machail Mata Ji Shrine after he took over as the Deputy Commissioner of district Kishtwar.During the visit, he was accompanied by ADDC Kishtwar/(Nodal Officer Machail Mata Yatra), Sham Lal, NT Machail, Manjeet Kumar; Xen PHE, Ajay Talwar; AEE JPDCL, Sudheer Sharma; Observer-Yatra Rupesh Sharma; Co-Observer Lovemeet Kotwal besides other officials.

The DDC paid obeisance at the Holy shrine and took stock of the facilities, quality of services, well-being of Yatries, volunteers, besides conducting on-site inspection of langars and the facilitation centres established at the shrine and different locations en-route.

He inspected sanitation conditions in and around the shrine and at Langer sites and reviewed the security arrangements including the installation of CCTVs at the Bhawan.He directed officials to conduct regular inspection of lodging, food, health facilities, sanitation and cleanliness at the Shrine and along the Yatra route.

The augmentation of the power supply by installing solar panels and improvement of the mobile network connectivity at the shrine was also stressed upon by the DDC. He also assured to expedite the on-going work on the roads by removing the bottlenecks, if any. 

At Shrine and later at Base camp Gulab Garh, the DDC was briefed by the Duty Magistrates about the arrangements including power and water supply, sanitation, toilet units,  street lighting, healthcare facilities, fire tenders, Traffic situation placed in for the smooth and hassle free conduct of Yatra.

At the Base camp Gulab Garh, DC took the day wise arrival and departure of the Yatries after paying obeisance. He interacted with the Yatris, stakeholders, Local PRIs and members of Langer management committees and inquired about their experience.

He also extended his best wishes to the pilgrims for safe and spiritual  pilgrimage.BDC Chairman, DDC Member, SDM Paddar Dr Rishi Kumar Sharma, Tehsildar Atholi, Rohit Kumar; BDO Paddar, Ravi Kumar and  other concerned officers/officials also remained present during his visit.
