The actor Nikhil Siddharth starrer 'Karthikeya 2' is proving to be a mini blockbuster in the Hindi heartland. Four days after its release, interest in the film started to increase. Released on 53 screens, 'Karthikeya 2' is now being shown on more than 1575 screens. Not only this, but the film is also making a splash at the Hindi box office. While the Hindi version of 'Karthikeya 2' collected Rs 7 lakh on its opening day, the film has earned Rs 2.15 crore in the Hindi belt after four days.
'Laal Singh Chaddha' could not earn even one crore rupees in the South
Talking about the collections of both 'Laal Singh Chaddha' and 'Raksha Bandhan', Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar's films are consistently performing poorly at the box office. Six days after their release, 'Laal Singh Chaddha' and 'Raksha Bandhan' have earned only Rs 48.33 crore and Rs 36.57 crore, respectively. On one hand, Kartikeya 2 has crossed the Rs 2 crore mark in the Hindi belt. On the other hand, Laal Singh Chaddha has not been able to touch the figure of one crore rupees in South India in six days.
People's Demand
Both 'Laal Singh Chaddha' and 'Raksha Bandhan' failed to draw the audience to the theatres. At the same time, Nikhil's 'Karthikeya 2' is becoming a big hit among the Hindi audience through word of mouth. Users are expressing happiness on social media about the flop of Bollywood movies. Along with this, by sharing memes, the theatre owners are demanding to increase the shows of Nikhil Siddharth starrer Kartikeya 2 in Hindi by cancelling the shows of 'Laal Singh Chaddha' and 'Raksha Bandhan'.
Karthikeya 2 might not be a huge smash like Pushpa, RRR, or KGF 2, but it is obvious that Hindi moviegoers are interested in it. It appears that the producers have chosen to advertise Karthikeya 2 in the North after not doing so for the Hindi markets.
